Marquis de Lafayette
Lodge No. 41
A.F. and A.M.
Celebrating over 150 years of Freemasonry in Colorado

About Marquis de Lafayette
Lodge No. 41
This lodge was chartered in 2019, but its roots go back to 1881, when a group of German-speaking Masons in Denver founded Schiller Lodge No. 41 and received the only authorization in Colorado to conduct Masonic work in the German language. Five predecessor lodges, 138 years, and one name that came from something none of us expected to find: a hand-painted silk apron that once belonged to the Marquis de Lafayette, authenticated by the George Washington Masonic National Memorial, and on permanent display in this building.
If you are looking for a Masonic lodge in Denver with serious history, serious Masonic education, and Brothers who take the work as personally as they take the fellowship, this is a good place to start looking.
Join Us for Dinner
We hold a complimentary dinner before every stated communication, open to all Masons and to any man who is curious about the fraternity. No reservation needed. Dinner is at 6:00 p.m. Come as a guest, meet the Brothers, and see what you think.
Our stated communications are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays from January through May, and again in September and October. In November and December we meet on the 2nd Wednesday only. We are dark in June, July, and August.
The lodge is at 1614 Welton Street in downtown Denver, one block from the 16th Street Mall.
Celebrating Freemasonry in Colorado since 1881.
The merger of Albert Pike Lodge No. 117 and Pythagoras Lodge No. 41 on January 25, 2019 brought together more than a century of Denver Masonic history under one name and one charter, forming a lodge for the good men of today and the good men of tomorrow. The lodge holds the only authorization in Colorado to conduct work in the German language, a distinction carried since Schiller Lodge No. 41 was chartered in 1881. The name we carry comes from the Marquis de Lafayette, whose personal Masonic apron traveled from Troy, New York to Denver over the course of a century and is always on display in this building.
A traditional lodge where friendship and brotherly love are more than just words. We meet in the historic Masonic building at 16th and Welton in downtown Denver.
